Married by the Rev. Joseph Giovenco in Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, April
30 were Miss Theresa Ann Strey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Strey Jr.,
Spencer, and Burt Lee Schauer, 109 W 12th St. son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schauer
of Route 1, Abbotsford.
The bride was given in marriage by her father during nuptial for which Kris
Biechler played guitar and sang; Judie Markow sang; and Michelle Weber played
flute.
She wore a gown of Fabric and lace with chapel train and a fingertip veil. In
her bouquet were cascades of pink roses and stephanotis.
Mrs. Bob Rindfleisch of Unity was matron of honor and Mrs. Randy Brown,
Stratford, and Mrs. Gary Schauer, Thorp, were brides-matrons. The aides had
dusty rose formals with lace jackets, bouquets of pink roses and white
carnations.
Todd Schauer of Abbotsford was best man; Rob Rindfleisch, Unity and Gary Schauer,
Thorp, were groomsmen; and Dennis Strey and Mark Luther ushered.
The supper was served in the Church basement and the reception and dance were at
the Village Plaza. Spencer. The newlyweds are living at the bridegroom's
address.
The bride graduated in 1979 from Spencer High School and is a child care worker
at Lad and Lassie Playschool. Her husband, assistant manager at Hardee's Family
Restaurant here, graduated in 1983 from Abbotsford High School, in 1977 from the
University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and served in the U.S. Army four years.
