Ravy, Myrtle M. (18 Jun 1885 – 28 Mar 1972)

Mrs. Myrtle M. Ravy, age 86, of Unity, died Tuesday morning shortly after arrival at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby, with Rev. Bervie Scott officiating. The body will lie in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home beginning Friday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Town of Brighton Cemetery.

Mrs. Ravy was born in Madison June 18, 1885. She received her education in Madison. She attended Oshkosh Normal and taught school in Taylor County for several years.

In 1908 she married Clarence Ravy at Medford. She lived in Curtiss, Unity, Plainfield, and the last several years with her daughter, Mrs. George Cook, at Unity.

Mrs. Ravy was a member of the United Methodist Church, Ladies Aid, and an officer of the Aid for many years.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. George Cook of Unity, Mrs. Wm. (Merle) Regall of Menomonee Falls, Mrs. Stanley (Lyla) Woods of Wausau, and Mrs. Harold (Ethelyn) Mellenthin of Portage; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Grant Herrick of Curtiss, and Ben Herrick of Montello; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Clark of Citrus Heights, California, Mrs. Clarence (Ferne) Ford, Westfield, and Mrs. Paul (Hazel) Labrenz of Packwaukee.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1968. Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
