UW-Madison (Graduates - 1978)

In ceremonies held March 18 at the UW-Madison Memorial Union, 163 men and women received graduation certificates from completing the 1978 Farm and Industry Short Course of the school’s College of Agricultural and life Sciences.

Clark County graduates included Pascal D’Huyvetter, Rt. 1, Humbird; Gary Eiberger, Rt. 1 Granton; and Kim Lewan Thorp.

According to Assistant Dean Maurice White, short course director, five students earned four year certificates and 26 earned three year certificates. Graduates come from 50 Wisconsin counties and six are from out of state, including Massachusetts and Columbia, South America.

Classes for the 15 week short course began November 14 with the session divided into three terms of five weeks each. Each student carried a minimum of four courses per term chosen from among more than 50 offered. Credits earned can be transferred to the college’s four year program.
