Ableiter, Richard (Dick) (24 August 1910 – 24 March 1978)
Richard (Dick) Ableiter, 67, Carlton, Minn., died at his home March 24. He and
his wife were former Neillsville residents.
Services were held at the Barr Brothers Funeral Chapel at Cloquet, Minn., on
March 27. Officiating was the Rev. Phillip Swenson of Salem Lutheran Church.
Burial was to be at the Hillside Cemetery, Carlton, at a later date.
Mr. Ableiter was born August 24, 1910. He was married to the former Elizabeth
(Betty) Strangfeld, who survives him. Also surviving are four sons, Charles of
Mahtowa, Minn., Harold and Ronald, St. Paul, Minn., Larry, International Falls,
Minn., and one daughter, Shirley, Minneapolis: one brother, and seven
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John
Ableiter.
