Spangler, Joseph C. (29 December 1898* - 19 March 1978)

Funeral services were held from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville on the
morning of March 22 for Joseph C. Spangler, Neillsville, with burial made in the
church’s cemetery. Spangler, 80, passed away at his home on March 19.
The Rev. Joseph Henseler officiated at the rites. The church choir sang
“Resurrection and Life,” “We Thank Thee, O ’Lord,” “Hear, O ‘Lord,” and “The Old
Rugged Cross,” accompanied by Mrs. Glenn Short. Pallbearers included Arnold
Carl, Romie Goetz, Tony Walter, Frank Hoeser, Paul Garbisch and Noel Olson.
Those attending from out of town were Romane Magedanz, Cudahy; Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Scafidi and Lawrence Zink and son, of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Magedanz and
Mrs. Ambrose Martin and Loretta, of Marshfield.
