Lau, Roger G. (2 May 1943 - 23 May 2021)
Roger G. Lau, 78, Mosinee, passed away peacefully on Sunday. May 23, 2021, with
family by his side.
Roger was born on May 2, 1943, the son of Hugo and Marcella Lau in Marshfield.
He graduated from Loyal High School in 1961. On July 11, 1964, Roger was united
in marriage to the love of his life, Beverly, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in
Loyal.
Roger was a union pipefitter and plumber but transitioned to a business agent
for seven years and continued to be a member of the local 434 Plumbers and
Pipefitters Union for 50 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed many hunting and
fishing trips, and also loved to forage for wild asparagus and mushrooms. Roger
was known for his garlic, he enjoyed planting and harvesting for over 40 years.
Roger is lovingly survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Linda (Trace) Hall,
Lorin (Heidi) Lau; brother Kenneth (Martha) Lau. He is also survived by his
eight grandchildren: Ashley, Jeremiah, Alyssa, Blake, Eathen, Josh, Brent,
Olivia; and six great-grandchildren: Brielle, Abyl, Jace, Easton, Kinsley and
Henry.
Those wishing to express their sympathy are encouraged to do so at Roger’s
celebration of life which will be held on Saturday, July 24, at Hog Creek in
Mosinee from noon until 4 p.m.
