Word was received here late Tuesday of the death earlier that day in Eau Claire of Carol M. Peterson, 52, a native of Neillsville and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.H. Peterson of this city. Miss Peterson, an instructor in the Eau Claire public school system, died following surgery Monday in Sacred Heart Hospital.

Miss Peterson served as organist at Evangel Assembly of God Church in Eau Claire and was feeling ill at the time of Sunday services, according to the pastor, Rev. Gerald E. Christensen. She entered the hospital later that day.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday at Evangel Assembly of God Church in Eau Claire, with Rev. Christensen in charge, and graveside rites will be held later Friday at the Neillsville City Cemetery, where burial will take place.
