Riemer, John (12 Jul 1890 – Apr 1972)

Funeral services were held April 10, 1972 in Watertown, for John Riemer, a former resident of Colby and Owen. Burial was made at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown, with the Rev. Milton Liesman conducting services.

Mr. Riemer died April 6, 1972 following surgery. He was born in Watertown on July 12, 1890 and lived on a farm west of Colby, where his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Riemer, farmed for 24 years. He lived the last 25 years in Watertown. He was married to Nina Tootle, who survives in Tampa, Florida, on January 24, 1930.

He is also survived by two brothers, Louis and Leonard, both of Watertown, and a sister, Mrs. Nelda Stefan of Hartford, Wis., and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ernst and Arnold, and two sisters, Meta and Sadie.
