Gosse, Mr./Mrs. Carl (Gold – 29 Mar 1972)
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gosse celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary with their
children, having dinner at the Flub Florena at Medford, March 29, 1972. On
Easter Sunday they were honored by family, friends and neighbors with a buffet
lunch, and received many gifts and good wishes.
They were married March 29, 1922 in the German Lutheran Church in the Town of
Holton by the Rev. F. H. Moecker.
The couple farmed in Clark County for a number of years, and also Marathon
County. They moved to Milwaukee in 1950,w here Mr. Gosse worked for Mitchel
Manufacturing Company for 12 years.
When he retired in 1962 they moved to Abbotsford and bought the Klieman house.
Gosse was born in Potters, Wis. April 17, 1898, and Mrs. Gosse, the former
Callie Klieman, was born in the Town of Holton December 23, 1901.
The couple has four children, Arvin, Abbotsford, Mrs. Raymond (Evelyn) Orth,
Abbotsford, Arnold, West Sacramento, California, Mrs. Pete (Wanita) Claverie,
Livermore, California.
They have 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Gosse enjoys hunting and fishing, and Mrs. Gosse likes planting flowers and
fancy work. They are member of Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford.
