Klumpyan, Sister Borromea (30 Apr 1898 – 16 Apr 1972)
Sister Borromea (Margaret) Klumpyan, 73, Franciscan Sister of Perpetual
Adoration, died in Villa St. Joseph Nursing home April 16, 1972, in the 45th
years of her religious profession. She was born April 30, 1898 and received her
education in Colby, where she lived until 1927, when she joined the Franciscan
Order in La Crosse.
During her life, Sister Borromea was employed in domestic duties. Twenty seven
of thirty seven years of active service were spent in the La Crosse Diocese.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Rosalia Harrison and Mrs. Oliver Kesler, both of
Manawa, and a brother, Mathew Klumpyan of Fond du Lac.
Services and funeral mass were held April 18 in Mary of Angels Chapel, St. Rose
Convent. The Reverend Richard Wisnewski, chaplain, officiated. Burial was in the
catholic Cemetery.
