Johnson, Staff Sgt. Marvin C. (Service Notes - 1978)
Staff Sgt. Marvin C. Johnson, whose wife, Joanne lives in Merrillan; recently
participated with the 509th Infantry in a major field training exercise in
Italy.
During the training, soldiers practiced under live fire conditions and had the
opportunity to work with other NATO forces.
Johnson, a platoon sergeant with the 509th Infantry in Vicenza, entered the Army
in 1966. He received a bachelor’s degree in 1974 from Otay Mesa College, San
Diego, California.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Moore, live in Hoxie, Arkansas.
