Crocket, Bruce Lawrence (13 October 1940 – 15 June 2021) With Flag
Bruce Lawrence Crockett, 80, died at the Veterans Hospital Oklahoma City on June
15, 2021. Bruce was born Oct. 13, 1940, to Allen and Barbara Grzanna Crockett
and grew up on the family farm in the Town of Washburn. He attended Carlyle
Elementary School and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1958.
Bruce was a Vietnam Veteran, serving four years in the Air Force. After his
military service, he lived in California, Arizona and most recently Edmond, OK.
He was a businessman for many years with carpentry as a hobby. After a skiing
accident, he used his carpentry skills to refurbish real estate and resold it.
Bruce is survived by his siblings, LeRoy Crockett of Tallahassee, FL, Rita
Crockett (Edwin Miller) of Oklahoma City, OK, Edgar Crockett (Brenda) of Tacoma,
WA, June Schmidt of Loyal, Catherine (Don) Griesmer of Gleason and Eugene
Crocket of Wichita, KS, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen (Andy) and Barbara Crockett;
brothers Donald, Davy and Gilbert Crockett; sister-in-law, Raquel Crockett, and
brother-in-law Robert Schmidt.
Interment will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove.
Anyone wishing to honor Bruce is asked to do so by making a contribution in his
name to The Highground Veterans Memorial Park at Neillsville.
