Wuethrich Banquet Honors Many (29 April 1978)
The 25th annual banquet was held Saturday evening, April 29, at the American
Legion building, in Greenwood.
Appearing on the program was Tom Esselman, Loyal, with his speech, “Watchword
for the Future”, that won second place for him at Washington, D.C. in the
National Boy Scout speaking contest earlier this year. The Greenwood Swing
Choir, under the direction of Gordon Wisniewski, entertained with several
selections.
Kenneth Steiger was presented with a gold watch in recognition of his 25 years
of service with the company. Safe driver awards from Employers Insurance of
Wausau were presented to Raymond Johnson, fourteen years; Merle Krehmeyer, seven
years; Lawrence Jackson, five years; Larry Rondorf, four years; Tom Behrens,
three years; and two years each to Earl Caliebe and James Petkovsek.
The rest of the evening was spent in dancing for the music of “The Jolly
Germans.”
