Worchel, Viola L. (October 9, 1910 – 21 April 1978)
Mrs. Eugene (Viola L. Krause) Worchel, 67, Green Lake, died April 21 at Ripon
Hospital following a short illness. The Worchel family formerly lived at Rt. 3
Neillsville, prior to moving to Green Lake in 1950.
Mrs. Worchel was born on October 9, 1910, at Poy Sippi to Herman and Hulda
Hebner Krause. Educated in Berlin, she was married to Eugene Worchel on October
21, 1933, at a Lutheran Church in Berlin.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Dolores of Atlanta, Georgia, and
Mrs. Harland (Donna) Schubert of Neenah; two sons, Alvin of Omro and Gordon of
Green Lake; one sister, Mrs. Harvey Moldenhauer of Oshkosh; and seven
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 25 at Peace Lutheran Church, Green Lake, with
the Rev. Walter Strohschein, Princeton, officiating. Burial was made in the
Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake.
Friends and relatives called at the Butzin-Merchant Funeral Home, Ripon and
included relatives from Neillsville, Spencer, Marshfield, Sussex, Chicago, Poy
Sippi, Berlin, Appleton, Tustin, Neshkoro, Auroraville and Weyauwega.
