Broeske, Mr./Mrs. Eugene (25th Anniversary Party – May 1972)
The children of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Broeske of Dorchester planned a surprise
party Saturday night to honor their parents on their 25th wedding anniversary.
About 100 guests were present for the occasion at Memorial Hall in Dorchester.
The children slated a “mock wedding” as part of the program, with card playing
and dancing providing other entertainment.
Eugene Broeske and the former Miss Florence Stauner were married May 12, 1947 at
Medford. They have farmed in the Town of Mayville since then. The couple has
seven children, David of Dorchester, and Duane, Jean, Marilyn, Carol, James and
Donald, all at home. They have one grandchild.
Their attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Roman Hommel, Medford, who attended the
anniversary party, and Mrs. Marian Broeske Bascomb, Menomonee Falls, and Bernard
Boch, Stetsonville were not present.
