Fravert, Dale A. (10 December 1938 – 3 July 2021)
Dale A. Fravert, 82, of Loyal, passed away at home on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
Dale Alvin Fravert was born on December 20, 1938, in the town of Beaver, rural
Loyal, to Alvin J. and Eveline E. (Stange) Fravert. He was raised and received
his education in the Loyal area, graduating from Loyal High School in 1957.
While in High School, Dale worked at the Loyal Bowling alley setting pins for
.10 cents a night and 2 bottles of soda pop. He also ran the projector and did
clean up at the Loyal movie theater. He was united in marriage to Angeline
Luvjoy Lloyd at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Loyal, on March 12, 1960. They have
lived in Loyal all their married life together. Dale worked for Bud Seaman at
his gas and LP station, until becoming employed as a patrolman for the Clark
County Highway Department in July of 1965, where he worked for 37 1/2 years.
Dale was proud that during his employment with the Highway Department, he worked
with his dad for 25 years, his Uncle Art for 25 years and his brother Dennis for
over 31 years. At night, Dale bartended for Dahlke's Bar, Degenhardt Bar,
Bowling Alley, and the Corner Bar, all in Loyal. In 1978, Dale and Angie bought
their own bar, and ran it for 6 1/2 years, while Dale continued to work for the
Highway Department. They called it the Fravert Place, which is now known as The
Red Door. Dale retired from the Clark County Highway Department in January 2002.
After retiring, he kept busy for many years mowing lawns with his grandson, Bo.
In his spare time, Dale had many interests, but especially loved being with his
family, fishing, bowling, playing sheepshead, deer and turkey hunting, the
Packers, Brewers and Nascar, and he especially enjoyed going for rides. He is a
lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, in Loyal, where he was baptized,
confirmed, and married.
Dale will be dearly missed by his wife Angie, of Loyal; his children Cindy
(Paul) Weyer, Vicki (Brian) Schreiner, and Scott (Rhonda) Fravert, all of Loyal;
his grandchildren: Michael Weyer, Michele (Cain) Krug, Cierra (Kory) Schuette,
Kesler Schuette (fiancé Rachel), Hannah Schreiner (fiancé Seth Bumgartner),
Alexis Schreiner, Derek (Raquel) Fravert, Desiree Fravert, Boden Fravert; one
great-grandson, Maverick of Baldwin; his brother: Marlin (Barb) Fravert of Fort
Worth, TX; his sister Karen (Ken) Boehnen of Marshfield; his sister-in-law: Sue
Fravert of Loyal; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was
preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Dennis, on March 21,2017.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Trinity
Lutheran Church, in Loyal. Rev. Daniel Zimmerman will officiate, and burial will
follow in the Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Fravert, Donnie
Fravert, Darryl Schuette, Kenny Schmidt, John Hagen and Peter Weyer. Honorary
pallbearers are his fishing buddies: Bob Schultz, Jerry Anderegg and Donnie
Hills. Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, on Wednesday, July 7,
2021, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again on Thursday at the church, from 10 a.m.
until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given in Dale’s name to
Trinity Lutheran Church, the Loyal Trout Pond, or the Loyal Historical Society.
Gone Fishin’
I've finished life's chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I've been invited to the fishin' hole.
Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don't worry, or feel sad for me,
I'm fishin' with the Master of the sea.
We will miss each other for a while,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won't be long you will see,
Till we're together you and me.
To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder, why I'm missin'
Just tell 'em I've gone fishin’
