Mr. and Mrs. Bernard H. Kuhn of Route 1, Neillsville, announce the engagement of
their daughter, Mildred Lou, to Roger Dale Gumz, Wisconsin Rapids, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Gumz of Athens.
Miss Kuhn and her fiancé are students at Mid-State Technical Institute at
Wisconsin Rapids. She is majoring in Mechanical Design Technology and Gumz in
Instrumentation.
No definite date has been set for the wedding.

Kuhn, Mildred (11 Nov 1972)
St. Thomas Catholic Church, Milan, was the setting for the 1 p.m. wedding of
Mildred Kuhn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kuhn, Neillsville, and Robert
Gumz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gumz, Athens.
The Rev. Father Stashek officiated at the November 1, 1972 ceremony.
The bride wore a floor length empire style wedding dress with white French lace
over satin with lace long sleeves. Her square neckline had a pearl chain
necklace for accessories. Her flower were yellow roses with orange mums and
white lilies of the valley.
Maid of honor was Diane Kuhn, who wore an apricot matching dress with yellow and
orange lace on the neckline and around the waist and down the front.
Delmar Gumz, brother of the groom, was best man, with ushers Jim Kuhn, Tomah,
and Ken Kuhn, Neillsville.
The church choir sang, with Mrs. Lotter playing the guitar and singing “The
Wedding Song.”
The reception for approximately 80 guests was held in the church basement.
The bride is a 1967 graduate of Neillsville High School and a 1972 graduate
Wisconsin Rapids Technical Institute. She is working as a draftsman for Koehring
Co. in Port Washington.
The groom is a 1967 graduate of Abbotsford High School and also a 1972 graduate
of Wisconsin Rapids Technical Institute. He is a maintenance electrician for
Kohler Company of Kohler.
They presently are residing at 260 Main Street, Apt. 103, Belgium
