Lenhard, Edgar (24 Oct 1897 – 1 Jun 1972)
Edgar Lenhard, Colby, died early Wednesday morning, June 1, 1972 at his home
following a lingering illness. He was 74.
The Rev. Keun W. Park conducted the funeral service held Saturday at the First
Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford. Burial was in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.
The Lulloff Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lenhard was born in Sheboygan County on October 24, 1897. He came to the
Athens area with his parents as a young boy and received his education there,
living on a farm east of Athens until 1939.
In 1939 he married the former Laura Goelden in Abbotsford, and they farmed eight
miles east of Abbotsford.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two step-children, Mrs. Robert (Elvira)
Kilty, Spencer, and Harold Goelden of Wausau; nine grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; three brothers, Arno Lenhard, Wausau, Otto Lenhard, Athens,
and Walter Lenhard, Ozark, Missouri; a sis …(the rest of my copy was cut off).
