UW-La Crosse (Grad/Dean’s List - Spring 1978)

A Granton native was announced by UW-La Crosse as a recent graduate of that school and numerous other area students were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester.

Paul F. Becherer, Rt. 1 Granton, majoring in health education, was among the 642 candidates who received degrees at the annual spring commencement held recently at UW-La Crosse.

Named to the dean’s list, based on outstanding academic achievement, were Marilyn Bauer, Colby, a senior majoring in women’s physical education; Jaynee Forsting, Rt. 1 Humbird, a freshman majoring in pre-physical therapy; Cathy Friedrichsen, Rt. 2 Granton, a freshman majoring in mass communications; Gary Lukes, 608 West Fifth St., Neillsville, a junior majoring in pre-optometry; Barbara Mayer, Rt. 1 Humbird, a freshman majoring in elementary education; Judy Sischo, Rt. 3, Neillsville, a sophomore majoring in recreation therapy; and Joan Suttner, Rt. 1 Curtiss, a senior also majoring in recreation therapy.
