Jennings, Harrison C. (1 January 1890 – 11 June 1978) With Flag
Passing away Sunday after a brief illness was Harrison C. Jennings, 88, Humbird,
in Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.
Jennings was born to John and Jennie Jennings, January 1, 1890, in Clark County.
After receiving his education in the county, he worked several years before
entering the military at the close of World War I. After the service, Jennings
was employed for many years in Minneapolis and returned several years ago to the
Humbird area where he did various jobs.
Surviving Jennings is his wife, Margaret; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Currie of
Jasper, Tex.; one sister of Black River Falls; and two brothers, Neil of Black
River Falls and Carl of Spokane, Wash. Preceding him in death were several
brothers and sisters.
A member of the Humbird American Legion Post No. 320 and the VFW, Jennings
funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the Georgas-Funeral Home, Neillsville,
with the Rev. Alvin Ebert officiating. Burial was made in the Town of Mentor
Cemetery.
