Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Willard “Bill” (Golden – 30 June 1978)
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Allen observed their golden anniversary on Sunday, June 25,
from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Bali Hai, Supper Club with an open house.
Willard “Bill” Allen and Alta Eisentraut were married in the Town of Grant at
the home of the bride on June 30, 1928. A former minister of the Methodist
Church, The Rev. Lambright officiated. The couple was attended by a cousin of
the bride and a college friend of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Cott Riley, Wis.
Rapids.
One child was born to this union. This family of three has had additions of one
son-in-law, Bradley Larsen, two grandsons, Jeffrey Allen and James Todd Larsen,
and two great-granddaughters, Odessa Ann and Jennifer Michele Larsen.
Alta taught school for two years and then retired after her marriage. Her
hobbies are knitting, flowers and bridge.
Bill retired from work at The First National Bank in 1970. He was recognized by
the Wisconsin Bankers Association for 50 years of service in banking. His
hobbies are gardening and working on various committees throughout the city and
county. Bill is still president of the First National Bank in Neillsville.
For the last few years, they have left their home in Neillsville and spent two
of the coldest months at Daytona Beach, Florida.
Many relatives and good friends attended their special “50th” golden anniversary
celebration.
