Jordahl, Jean Ellen (17 June 1978)
St. Mary’s Catholic Church was the site of the marriage rites, Saturday, June
17, for Jean Ellen Jordahl and Gary Everett Spiegel, both of Eau Claire. Parents
of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Jim Jordahl, 807 West Fourth St., Neillsville,
and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Spiegel, Rt. 2, Granton. Father James Lesczynski of
Willard performed the 1:30 p.m. services at which the bride was presented by her
father.
The bride chose a floor-length style bridal gown of sheer Dacron polyester,
trimmed with Vancian lace and designed with a low neckline, bishop sleeves and
skirt sweeping to a chapel train. She also wore an elbow length lace-edged veil.
Flowers for the new Mrs. Spiegel included blue and white carnations, yellow
roses and baby’s breath.
Serving as maid of honor was Sherri Sichak, Colombia Heights, who was joined by
Janyce Jordahl of La Crosse, Judy Jordahl of Neillsville and Virginia Spiegel of
Granton. They were attired in light blue Dacron polyester gowns with v-necklines
and matching sheer capes and also carried blue and yellow daisies, white
carnations and baby’s breath. Serving as junior bridesmaid was Joyce Jordahl,
Neillsville.
Attending the groom was John Spiegel, Chippewa Falls, as bestman who was joined
by Eugene Spiegel of Granton and Mike Kissling and Bradley Goetz, both of
Neillsville. Bernie Jordahl and Dennis Spiegel were ushers.
After the church wedding, a reception, dinner and dance were held at the
American Legion Hall in Neillsville. After a California honeymoon, the couple
will reside at 1046 Barland Court, Eau Claire.
The bride is a December 1977 graduate of District I Technical Institute, Eau
Claire, and is a key-type operator for the Midelfort Clinic in Eau Claire. The
groom is a May 1976 graduate of the same school and is employed as an auto
technician for bob Willow Motors in Menomonie.
