Serving as maid of honor was Carla Opelt, a friend of the bride, who was joined by Jody Stalsberg, sister of the bride, both of Rt. 3 Neillsville. Both were attired in gowns of pink with matching flowered capes and hats. They carried bouquets of white carnations and pink baby’s breath.

Best man was Mickey Marty, a friend of the couple, who was joined by Wayne Reinart, the groom’s brother, both of Rt. 1 Neillsville.

After the ceremony, lunch was served to guests at the Dahnert home. The newly married couple then visited the bride’s grandmother, Martha Widner, at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital and the groom’s other grandmother, Daisy Hubing, at the Neillsville Memorial Home.

A wedding reception was held in the afternoon at the Neillsville American Legion Hall with a dance following. Hosting prenuptial events were Linda Stalsberg, and Carla Oplet, who hosted a shower June 11.
