University of Wisconsin, La Crosse head track coach, Ralph “Buck” Jones, announced the intentions of four incoming freshmen to attend La Crosse in the fall. The four athletes are David Dommer, Colby; Dave Giacomini, Brookfield; Gerald Shattuck, Frederic, and Roger Sieber, Sheboygan Falls.

Dommer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Delphin Dommer, competed in the long jum and high jump only in his junior year, as he broke his leg during his senior years. Dommer high jumped 6’ 2”, which won all-conference and sectional honors.
