Rossman, Floyd “Huck” (1 October 1903 – 18 July 1978)
Floyd “Huck” Rossman, 74, passed away Tuesday, July 18, in the Black River
Memorial Hospital. Mr. Rossman was born on October 1, 1903, to Fred A. and
Carrie Kunze Rossman in the Town of Pine Valley. After receiving his education,
he was employed at a dairy in Neillsville for several years and also worked in
Milwaukee.
In 1936, Rossman married Marge Schmidt, who passed away in 1961. Rossman later
worked for Peterson Chevrolet-Olds in Black River Falls for twelve years prior
to his retirement in 1971. He had been a resident of the Family Heritage Nursing
Home in Black River Falls at the time of his death.
Surviving Rossman are two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Nina) Swaney of Coulee Dam,
Oregon, and Mrs. Kathy Nelson of Kokomo, Ind.; and one brother Donald of Black
River Falls.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 21, at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas-Gesche
Funeral Home in Neillsville with the Rev. Ronald Nordin of Calvary Lutheran
Church officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
