A Colby woman remains in satisfactory condition at St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Marshfield after being struck by a car while crossing Central Avenue in
Marshfield.
She is Mrs. Luella Krauter, 60, who is being treated for a fractured pelvis and
head injuries.
The mishap occurred Wednesday, July 19, 1972 at 3:57 p.m., when Mrs. Krauter,
standing on the curb in front of the Marshfield Clinic, started across the
street in the middle of the block north of Seventh Street, and was then struck
by a car driven by Grace A. Bailey, 18, Marshfield. The Bailey auto was
traveling south on Central Avenue on the inside lane. Mrs. Krauter was struck
before she reached the middle of the avenue.
