Stock, Rudolph (8 Oct 1893 – 23 Jul 1972)
Rites were conduction at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Church of
Christ, Colby, for Rudolph Stock, 78, Colby, who died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday at St.
Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, after suffering a stroke.
The Rev. Kenneth Dix, pastor, officiated, and burial was made in the Colby
Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Stock was born in Manitowoc County, October 8, 1893, and as a young man
worked there as a cheesemaker. In 1917 he purchased a cheese factory west of
Colby, which he operated until 1924. Since that time he had lived on a farm west
of Colby with his brother.
Survivors include two brothers, Arvin, Colby, and Herbert, St. Paul; and one
sister, Mrs. Erna Wiesig, Colby.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
