Scheel, Herman W. (17 March 1914 - 28 July 1978)
Funeral services were held Monday for Herman W. Scheel, 64, of Rt. 1 Granton,
who passed away at his home. The services were officiated by the Rev. Dale
Trimberger, and were held at Zion Lutheran Church, in Granton, with burial in
the Town of Lynn Cemetery. Organist was Mrs. Roger Helm.
Scheel was born March 17, 1914, in the Town of Weston. After being educated in
that area, he married Clara Foemmel on October 4, 1936. The couple moved to
Ripon and then returned to farm in the town of Lynn. For the past 27 years, the
couple lived in the Town of Grant. Scheel was a livestock dealer for many years.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Robert, Chili, three grandchildren, three
sisters, Mrs. William Hoffman, and Mrs. Roland Kalsow, both of Neillsville, and
Louise Scheel of St. Paul, Mn., and two brothers, Gerhardt of Neillsville, and
Wilmer of Beaver Dam.
Serving as pallbearers for the funeral were Wayne Tolley, Ronald Garbisch, Ray
Laufenberg, William Hoeft, Robert Struensee and Max Mahoney.
