Miss Lauranne Ziglinski, Schofield, daughter of Mrs. George Ziglinski, Antigo,
and the late George Ziglinski, and Frederick Bartnik of Mosinee, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Bartnik of Colby, were united in marriage Saturday, July 29, 1972 at
the Wausau Bible Church in Wausau.
The 2 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. C. Abrahamson. Mrs. Fred Fochs
sang “O Perfect Love” and “The Wedding Prayer,” accompanied on the organ by Mrs.
Gene Dix.
The bride wore an A-line gown of white crepe with an empire waist, which was
accented with Venice lace on the bodice, train and hemline. The Venice lace also
accented the puffed sleeves. Her veil was secured to a pearl and aurora borealis
crown. She carried a colonial bouquet of daisies and roses.
The matron of honor was Mrs. Dave Grade, and serving as bridesmaid was Mrs.
Larry Olsen. A niece of the bride, Miss Amy Jo Ziglinski, was the flower girl.
They wore gowns of pale lilac voile with floral flocking, which were styled like
the bride’s. Their garden hats were of the same material. Each carried a
colonial bouquet of daisies and roses. The gown were styled and made by the
bride and her attendants.
A reception for over 200 was held in the church parlors following the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Antigo High School and attended the UW-Stevens Point,
and is a kindergarten teacher at Rothschild. The bridegroom is a graduate of
Dorchester High School, Taylor County Teachers College and the UW-Superior, and
is presently employed by the Rothschild School system as a fourth grade teacher.
After a northern Wisconsin honeymoon, the couple will be making their home at
Route 2, Mosinee.
