A barn owned by Dan Hamel of Route 1, Abbotsford, and used for storage purposes,
burned to the ground early Friday morning after being struck by Lightning.
The Abbotsford Fire Department received the call between 1:30 and 2 a.m. and
according to Fireman Jack Kelsey, the barn was already engulfed in flames.
Destroyed in the blaze were a baler, 4-bottom plow and hay. The firemen were at
the scene for two hours.
