Sixty-nine students left this week as part of two groups in the UW-Stevens Point
on going “Semester Abroad Program,” and includes Julene Mroczinski, Abbotsford
from the UW-Eau Claire; and Cynthia Raasch, a sociology and anthropology major,
and daughter of Mr. Elvin Raasch, Stetsonville; to be headquartered in England.
Ronald Boss, a music and German major, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Boss of
Route 1, Colby, who will be headquartered in Germany.
Fort persons will be headquartered in England and 29 others in Munich, Germany.
Both groups traveled together in a tans-oceanic flight, which arrived Tuesday in
Zurich, Switzerland, then began separate month-long study tours throughout the
continent, before taking up residence in their respective headquarters.
Led by Dr. Winthrop C. Difford, Dean of the Graduate College, and Richard
Schneider, Professor of Art, the “Semester in Britain” contingent is scheduled
to make stops in Paris, Bern, Rome, Florence, Venice, and party of Austria,
Germany and the Netherlands.
