Announcement is made of the engagement of Berna Jo Steines, Cedar Rapids,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold E. Steines of Stratford, to Danne L. Mellenthin,
also of Cedar Rapids and son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Mellenthin, Colby.
The future bride teaches vocal music in the Urbana Consolidated school system,
Urbana, Iowa. She is a graduate of Viterbo College, La Crosse.
Her fiancé is youth director and teacher at Trinity Lutheran Church and School,
Cedar Rapids. He is graduated from Concordia College in St. Paul.
A December wedding is being planned.
