Wussow, Elmer (23 Jan 1903 – 26 Sep 1972)
Elmer Wussow, 69, Route 1, Edgar, died at a Wausau Hospital at 9 a.m., September
26, 1972 following a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 28 at 2 p.m. at St. John’s
Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, Town of Wien, with the Rev. Kenneth Loehrke
officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Hebert and Fred Nienow, Walter and Herbert Brown and Robert and
Delbert Ballerstein.
Mrs. Wussow was born January 23, 1903 in Milwaukee. On April 24, 1931, in the
Town of Wien (Marathon Co.), St. John’s Church, he was married to Velda
Pederson, who survives. He came to the Edgar area as a small boy.
He was assessor and farmed in the Town of Franfut most of his life. He also
lived in the Town of Hull after retiring in 1962.
Survivors, besides his wife, include two sons, Bruce, Route 1, Edgar, and Marris,
Wisconsin Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Wm. Bauer, Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs. Arden
Viegut, Route 1, Edgar, and two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Volkman and Mrs. Erna Acker,
both of Milwaukee.
