SP5 James C. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorris Johnson, Colby, received his
promotion to that rank on September 14, 1972. He enlisted in the Army August 21,
1969 and received his basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.
He attended special track school at Ft. Knox, Kentucky and was sent to Germany
in July of 1970, where he has been stationed at Downs Barrack, Fulda, Germany.
SP5 Johnson is senior track mechanic with Howitzer Battery, 1/11 Barmed Cavalry.
His ETS date is for December 21 of this years , but he is extending his tour of
duty in Germany for six months.
His wife, the former Wilma Woltmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Woltmann,
Colby, is in Germany with him.
SP5 Johnson graduated from Colby High School in 1969.
