Ott, Caroline P. (22 June 1900 – 10 October 1978)

A woman who joined her husband for 50 years in local farming, Caroline P. Ott, 78, passed away October 10 in Neillsville Memorial Home. She was born on June 22, 1900, in Chicago to James and Mary (Bartunek) Zikmund. She moved as a young girl with her parents to the Neillsville area and received her education here. On June 6, 1925, she married Ernest Ott and they farmed in the Neillsville area until 1974 when her husband passed away. She spent her final years in the Neillsville Memorial Home. She was a member of St. Mary’s parish and P.C.C.W.

Mrs. Ott is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death was her husband and two sisters.

Mrs. Ott’s funeral was held on Saturday, October 14, from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville, with burial in the parish cemetery. Officiating was the Rev. Joseph Henseler of St. Mary’s.
