Schwarze, Mr. and Mrs. Ewald (Golden – 28 November 1978)
Ewald and Sally Schwarze celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in a party,
held Saturday afternoon at the Greenwood American Legion Hall.
The couple was married on November 28, 1928, in the Immanuel Rectory, Greenwood,
with the Rev. Otto Vriesen officiating.
Ewald was born January 3, 1906, in Clark County to George and Freida Schwarze.
He attended the Benjamin School in Greenwood and famed most of his life,
retiring in 1971. Sally was born November 6, 1906, in Marathon County to Olaf
and Myrtle Olson. She attended Neillsville Public Schools and UW-Stevens Point
after which she worked as a teacher. She enjoys knitting and crocheting. The
couple, both members of the Zion United Church of Christ, Greenwood, are in good
health.
The Schwarze’s have two sons, Stanley of Rochester, Minn., and Donald of
Madison, and one daughter, Eileen Krapf, Greenwood. They also have four
granddaughters.
Attending the event was Fern Holt, Neillsville, a sister of Mrs. Schwarze.
