Kozic, John Sr. (9 July 1898 – 16 September 1978)
John Kozic, Sr., a former Town of Levis farmer, passed away, September 16, in
his Maitland, Fl., home. Kozic, 88, was born July 9, 1898, in Czechoslovakia,
coming to Neillsville as a young man with his wife, Elizabeth (Kralik), and
children John, Jr., and Anna. They farmed in the Town of Levis for many years.
In 1952, John Kozic, Sr., moved to Florida with his wife. He worked there for
several years, with John Suda and Sons in the vegetable farming. He was a member
of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Slavia, Fl.
Survivors are his wife, one son, John, Jr., Goldenrod, Fl., one daughter, Ms.
Anna Witte, Riplinger, seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held for Mr. Kozic at Baldwin Funeral Home, Goldenrod, Fl.
Mr. Kozic, was buried in St. Luke’s Cemetery.
