Larson, Robert L. (7 Dec 1904 – 30 Oct 1972)
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester,
for Robert L. Larson, 67, Dorchester, who died Monday at 8 a.m. at Memorial
Hospital in Medford, where he had been a patient for three days. He had been in
ill health for several months.
Mr. Ehrling Omdahl officiated, with burial in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Larson, Jack Saarri, Arvid Carlson, Lawrence Carlson,
Norman Riemer, and Alvin Winchell.
Mr. Larson was born December 7, 1904 at Medford, and received his education in
Holway School in Taylor County. On September 14, 1927 he married Mildred Riemer
at Chippewa Falls. They then moved to the town of Holway and farmed until 1947,
when they moved to Dorchester, where he was employed, until 1970, as janitor of
the Dorchester Elementary School.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Myrtle) Fisher,
Fifield; two sons, Maurice, Chippewa Falls, and Roland, Mrs. Minnie Eunkel.
Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
