Dux, Alfred H. (4 December 1901 – 11 November 1978)

Alfred H. Dux, 76, passed away Suddenly Saturday, November 11, in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. He was to be buried in the Neillsville City Cemetery following services, Wednesday afternoon, from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville, with the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiating. The Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dux was born December 4, 1901, in Neillsville, to William and Anna Reihaut) Dux. He graduated from Neillsville High School and then worked for Northern States Power Company for several years. It was around this time that he married Ellen Schwarz in Greenwood on April 29, 1923. He later operated a milk route and then was employed at the Nelson Muffler Plant. He was a member of the Neillsville Co. A of the 32nd Division of the National Guard.

Surviving him is his wife; two sons, Kenneth of Stoughton and Jeffery of Madison; two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Evelyn) Dimeo of Neillsville and Mrs. Duane (Patricia) Anding of Granton; one sister, Mrs. Martha Brown, Sacramento, Calif.; one brother, William C. Dux, Neillsville; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Bert and Arthur, and two sisters, Elsie and Agnes.
