Kotchy, Arthur J. (11 August 1900 – 9 November 1978)

Funeral services were held this past Monday for Arthur J. Kotchy, 78, Neillsville, from the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. With the Rev. Joseph Henseler, pastor, of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville officiating, burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Kotchy passed away after a brief illness in the Neillsville Memorial hospital, November 9. He was born on August 11, 1900, in the Town of York to John and Anna (Plotz) Kotchy. He received his early education in the Town of York and graduated from Neillsville High School. He then farmed with his parents, later taking over the family farm until his retirement in 1969 when he moved to Neillsville. He married Marie Storek on October 7, 1933, in Chicago, Ill., ceremonies.

Surviving him is his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Loretta) Trimberger, Neillsville; one sister, Mata Kotchy, Chicago and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Edward.
