The Rev. Gerald Schuh has retired as pastor of St. Louis Catholic Church at
Dorchester, effective November 15, 1972. He has served the parish here since May
1956. Father Schuh is a native of Rollingstone, Minnesota, and was ordained a
priest on January 22, 1928. Before coming to Dorchester he served as an
assistant pastor in Mineral Point, Colby and Eau Claire; and as pastor of
parishes in Blanchardville, Greenwood, Cadott, Durand and St. Joseph’s Ridge.
Father Schuh has two priest brothers, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. N. Schuh,
Marshfield, and Rev. Myron Schuh, Fairmount, North Dakota; and a religious
brother, Brother Ulrich, a Marianist, living at Galesville.
