Bringing Back Humbird “Fundays” (21 August 2021)

The community of Humbird is bringing back Humbird Fundays. This year’ fun day celebration is being held Saturday, Aug. 21.

Those interested in being a part of the Humbird Fun Days Parade can register now or by 10 a.m. the day of the parade. Meet at 10 a.m. at Big Street, soon to be Kings & Queens. The parade starts at noon.

The best float will win a prize and the community will be the judges for the winning entry.

The parade will provide longtime memories while also being great advertising for businesses.

Event organizers are also welcoming vendors to share their crafting talents and wares. Contact Jessica Adams or stop by the Big Street-soon to be Kings & Queens – at 10 a.m. the day of the event to secure a spot. Vendors ae asked to bring their own tables and chairs.

There will be a karaoke contest beginning at 4 p. m. Contestants will sing two songs and the audience will vote on their favorite. There will be cash prizes for first and second place winners.

A horseshoe tournament starts at 2 p.m. Sign-ups are being accepted now and will be until noon the day of the event. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third places.

Music by Decades with DJ Sandireall and Catching Butterflies begins a 12 p.m. and continues until 11 p.m.

Food featuring Scholze Family Beef will be available throughout the day.

There will be games for the kids and he adults. Fireworks go off at dusk.

All proceeds from the raffle go towards the Town of Mentor.
