Ronald Decker, Dorchester, who has been employed by the Stetsonville Farmers
Union Co-op for the past three years, has been named manager to succeed Bernard
Dassow of Medford, who has served as manager for the past 27 years. Dassow will
retire on January 1, 1973, however Decker assumed his duty as manager on
November 1, 1972. Dassow will assist with the business for the balance of the
year.
Decker, who has covered every phase of the Farmers Union operations at Medford
and Stetsonville, has assisted with management. He attended a manager’s training
school at Farmers Union Central Exchanged, St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a native
of Dorchester, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Decker, and is a graduate of
Dorchester High School.
He served two years in the Army, one of them in Vietnam.
He is married to the former Carol Muench of Antigo, and the couple has two
children. At present they reside in a mobile home in the Town of Mayville.
