Hiebsch, Frank A. (11 Oct 1892 – 22 Nov 1972)
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 25, 1972 at St. Mary’s Catholic
Church, Colby, for Frank A. Hiebsch, 80, Colby, who died Wednesday, November 22,
1972 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been a patient for about
two weeks. He had been in ill health for the past five years.
The Rev. Francis Rushman officiated, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Mr. Hiebsch was born in Germany on October 11, 1892 and on June 25, 1942 married
Margaret Jordon at St. Mary’s Church in Colby.
He lived his entire life in the town of Hoard in Clark County, and in 1964
retired and moved to Colby.
Besides his wife, he is survived by the following step-children; Joe Schommer,
Bonne Terra, Louisiana; Leo Schommer , Oceanside, California; Wendlon, Plymouth;
John, Anchorage, Alaska; Mrs. Robert (Bernadette) Boyd, Baraboo; Mrs. Robert
(Germaine) Lucht, Madison; Mrs. Frank (Margaret) Koechritz, Milwaukee, and Mrs.
Joe (Mary) Buttner, Lyndon Station.
Three brothers also survive. They are Richard Boehm, Grand Rapids, Michigan; Joe
Hiebsch, Owen, and Oscar Hiebsch, Glendale, California.
He is also survived by 38 step-grandchildren and 23-great-grandchildren.
A sister preceded him in death.
