Ulrich, Charles (18 Mar 1894 – 1 Dec 1972)
Charles Ulrich, 78, a former Dorchester resident, died at Denver, Colorado on
December 1, 1972, and the funeral was held at the Aurora Chase Chapel in Denver
on December 4, with burial also in Denver.
He was born March 18, 1894 at Milwaukee, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Ulrich, and they came to Dorchester when he was an infant. He lived here until a
young man, and then served in the U.S. Marines in World War I. He came back to
Dorchester following his discharge from service and lived here until 1923, when
he moved to Rochester, Minnesota. There he operated a fruit farm and also worked
as a tree surgeon.
Mr. Ulrich is survived by five daughters living in the western states. He also
is survived by a brother, Rudy Ulrich, Dorchester, and two sisters, Mrs. Art
(Margaret) Jensen, Dorchester, and Mrs. George (Emma) Schultz, Colby. Mrs.
Jensen and Mrs. Schultz flew to Denver to attend the funeral on December 4.
