Truax, Allen (22 February 1916 – 9 February 1979) With Flag
Allen Truax. 62. Kenosha and formerly a Greenwood resident, died of cancer while
a patient at the Milwaukee Veterans’ Hospital, February 9.
Truax was born in Clark County on February 22, 1916. He was a member of the
101st Airborne in World War II, returning to Clark County after the service. He
farmed in the county until 1960 when he moved to Kenosha.
He is survived by four sons, Richard, Patrick, Michael and Mark, and three
daughters, Bonnie, Corine and Carol, all of Kenosha: his mother, Mrs. Bessie
Velte, Marshfield, two sisters, Mrs. Wilfred (Etta) Martin of Marshfield and
Mrs. Joseph (Connie) Bizjak of Greenwood; and one brother, Darrell Truax,
Kenosha.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 13 from a Kenosha funeral home.
Burial was to be made in that city.
