Eddy, Kenneth (8 December 1931 – 3 March 1979)

An employee of the city of Neillsville’s street department for the past twelve years, Kenneth Eddy, 47, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 3, in the Neillsville Memorial Hospital.

Eddy was born on December 8, 1931, in Richland Center to Roy and Lula (Sage) Eddy, Sr. he attended schools in Sparta, Milwaukee, and Neillsville, and then worked for Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee besides doing construction work. On January 21, 1963, Eddy married Darlene Shaw in Neillsville ceremonies. The couple then farmed in the Levis and Washburn areas until 1967 when he began work with the city of Neillsville.

Surviving him are two sons, Brian and Duane, both of Neillsville; four daughters, Mrs. William (Sandra) Henseler of Granton, and Mrs. Joseph (Debra) Holman and Susan and Lisa Eddy of Neillsville; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia McMachan of Black River Falls and Mrs. Donald (Evelyn) Houer of Cataract; four brothers, Edgar of Neillsville, Roy, Jr. of Merrillan, Gerald of Black River Falls and Jack of Beloit; plus, three grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, February 18, 1967; one brother, Harold; and three sisters, Nancy, Irma Jean and Fern.

Funeral services were held this past Tuesday from the United Church of Christ in Neillsville, with the Rev. Gary Clark officiating, and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Eddy, Kenneth (8 December 1931 – 3 March 1979)

The body of Kenneth D. Eddy. 47. Who passed away suddenly on March 3, was interred in the Neillsville City Cemetery after funeral services from the Neillsville United Church of Christ, the afternoon of March 6.

With the Rev. Gary Clark officiating, music was offered by Mary Heineck and Deon Spangler the accompanist included “In The Garden” and “How Great Thou Art.” Pallbearers included Wayne Oldham, Eddie Tresemer, Joe Kaczor, Erwin Poelzel, Francis Laatch and Norman Lynch.

The Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
