Riedel, Alfred (22 November 1901 – 1 March 1979)

Alfred Riedel, Rt. 1 Granton, a former clerk and chairman of the Town of Lynn and member of the Clark County Highway Committee, was buried in the Lynn Cemetery after funeral services last Saturday.

Riedel, 77, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, on Thursday, March 1. He was born on November 22, 1901, in the Town of Lynn to Herman and Myra (Konshok), received his education in that area and farmed there all of his life. He married Addie Jensen in November 1923 Neillsville services.

Riedel left as survivors one son, Ralph, Granton and three grandchildren. And preceding him in death was his wife, who passed away November 11, 1975, one brother and one grandson.

With the Gilbertson Funeral Home of Granton in charge of arrangements, the Rev. Horst Augustin officiated at the funeral services held at the Zion Lutheran Church, with Mrs. Roger Helm as the organist for the services. Pallbearers included Harold, Norman and James Beilke, Duane Anding, Donald Stringer and Harvey Johnson.
