Edward Wynimko, 61, died suddenly Saturday afternoon.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 16th, 1973, at 10:30 a.m. at St.
Hedwig’s Chapel. Burial was made in the parish cemetery (New St. Hedwig’s).
He apparently died of a heart attack about 1:20 p.m.
According to county officials who investigated, Wynimko and his wife were doing
some work in a home they had purchased recently at 311 W. Stanley Street, when
he collapsed.
The Thorp Ambulance was called.

Wynimko, Edward J. (25 Feb 1911 – 13 Jan 1973)
Edward J. Wynimko, 61, died of a massive coronary, January 13, 1973 in the City
of Thorp. Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church, Tuesday, January
16, 1973, with Father William Grill officiating at the 10:30 a.m. services.
Burial was made in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Stanley Chura, Alex Slowiak, Joseph Szczech, all of Stanley,
Joseph Kozenka, Frank Konieczny and Edward Maier, all of Thorp.
Mr. Wynimko, a farmer, was born February 25, 1911 at Duluth, Minnesota. On
November 21, 1942, at Chicago, Illinois, he married Marie Wanda O’Konski. For 10
years they lived on RR Stanley, then they moved to a farm on RR Thorp 19years
ago.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda; his mother, Mrs. Stephanie Wynimko; one son,
Joseph Wynimko, at home; two daughters, (Diane) Mrs. Frank Brodbeck, Brown Deer,
(Nancy) Mrs. Ronald Ehrlichmann, Milwaukee; four grandchildren, Stacey and
Terrence Brodbeck, Lia and Amy Ehrlichmann; one brother, John Wynimko, Chicago;
two sisters, Mrs. Sophie Kissel, Chicago, and Mrs. Victoria Smoczyk, Stanley.
