Marg, Linda (23 June 1979)
Linda Marg and Howard Cokl, both stationed as U.S. Army military police at West
Point, were married in Saturday evening services, June 23, at St. John’s
Lutheran Church, Neillsville. Linda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Marg,
Neillsville, and Howard is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Simmons, Cincinnati, Oh.
With the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiating, the bride’s father presented her
to the altar.
Carrying a bouquet of red roses, stephanotis and baby’s breath, the bride chose
a Qiana gown with empire waist, lace bodice with seeded pearls, fingertip veil
and train.
Kathy Marg, Neillsville, was maid of honor. She was attired in a light blue,
floor-length gown and carried a bouquet of blue carnations, blue starflowers and
baby’s breath.
Dan Marg, Neillsville, was best man. Ushering were David Marg of Neillsville and
Jesse Gilbertson of Spring Green.
“The Wedding Prayer” and “The Lord’s Prayer” were musical selections offered by
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tess.
Following the wedding service, a reception was held at the bride’s parents’
home.
Prenuptial events included a shower, hosted by friends of the bride, at West
Point, N.Y. Linda is a 1977 graduate of Neillsville High School and Howard is a
1977 graduate of Moeller High School in Cincinnati.
